The Economic Development Authority of Liberty-Casey County (EDALC) works to advance the quality of life and strengthen the economic base of Casey County and the surrounding region by retaining and growing existing businesses and industries and by attracting new investment.

Casey County is located in south central Kentucky. The county seat, Liberty, is approximately 75 miles south of Lexington. Casey County’s proximity to the heart of the Bluegrass makes it an ideal place to experience Kentucky’s rural character while staying within reasonable driving distance to Lexington and Louisville. Casey County’s location places it within approximately a day’s drive of 75 percent of the U.S. population.

Located along US-127, Casey County has very good highway access north and south. US-127 is designated AAA (80,000 Lbs gross vehicle weight maximum) and is a state authorized route for increased dimension, or STAA trucks.  Just 21 miles south of Liberty is the Louie B. Nunn Parkway.  To the north, the Martha Layne Collins Bluegrass Parkway is within 50 miles of Liberty.  Good highway access and central location make Liberty a desirable location for distribution and manufacturing operations.
